invasion from sun
tenacious mob flocks to skin
freckles without names

wired
inner dispute solved
never too late for coffee
sacrifice the night
skin
How would it feel? My
skin urgently against yours,
my breath through your lungs.
Statue
You see
it wasn’t like I
couldn’t breathe,
and it wasn’t like I had been
holding my breath.
I was a statue,
waiting when you walked by
and you were a tornado
tearing your way through me.
It was like
suddenly
in that fleeting moment,
life happened.
spun
exquisitely spun
amnesia taking over
I fall to the sky
sunset
eyes transfixed in awe
the universe exploding
magma burns the sky
fold
fold my heart in half
veins map an untraveled path
origami life
keep closed
Old, new. Stranger, friend.
Secrets traded for whimsy.
Pandora watching.
hollowed
hollowed and reformed
now I can’t tell you from me
who’s in the mirror?
shuffle
find light in the dark
as we shuffle side to side
my hand taking yours
