complacency garners undue attention
often leaves spirits waning
heard shadows last night
the unwelcome visitor
tasteless in my heart
deaf to my eyes
risen from a poignant grave
has
yet to disappear

damsel
she was self-possessed
a damsel assisting grief
soothing bitter hearts
do not litter
Energy littered,
carelessly tossed to the wind.
Feather carries breeze.
I hate tires
Stranded on roadside
Problem: cursed with a flat tire
Answer: hovercars
Canada D’eh
Not yet grown
Faced the world alone,
wore my grown up clothes for once.
Need hug right now, please.
Reality vs Imagination
Real life too boring,
Fantasy life too stressful.
Happy medium?
Old friend
We have all known fate before.
Closer to it at birth, and then
progressively dimmer in our minds.
That ever expansive time
before we came into existence.
I don’t remember it being bad, so
Why be afraid?
When I must
inevitably return to that
curious place
I will greet it with a smile,
embrace it comfortably…
Dearest old friend-
I have so much to tell you.
dreamer
surrender to sleep
colourful subconscious speaks
revealing desires
What I am
What am I?
If I leave no trail-
if my existence dwindles…
Not for me to decide,
or you.
Or him, or her
or them.
I am human-
Grass between toes
Fire consuming heart
Water racing in veins
Air inflating lungs
Life is in me.
