Poem: farewell kiss

All at once
with her mind’s eye
she sees

through
resounding light,
her whole life.

Every breath,
each beat of her
heart.

The what ifs
and the should
have beens

in a farewell kiss.

For finally
she has learned
to live

most
intentionally,

most
unapologetically,

here
and
now.
